Summerkids Camp Details
An old-fashioned summer camp based in Altadena, near Pasadena, Los Angeles and other environs. We believe in the power of play and the spirit of fun. Summerkids was founded in 1978, and is still run by the DiMassa family. Our traditional summer camp programs are for children entering K-9th grades, split into two camps: Summerkids (grades K-6), and Summer Challenge (grades 7-9). Both programs are located at our campsite in Altadena. Activities include archery, swimming, crafts, games, sports, hiking and other outdoor-based recreational pursuits. Our summer programs are offered between mid-June and August each summer, and we employ graduating high school seniors and college students as camp counselors. Many, but not all, of our counselors were campers themselves.
