Visit www.SummitUtilities.com for more information!Our storyOur parent company, Summit Utilities, Inc., has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texarkana Area gas distribution assets of CenterPoint Energy. Subject to regulatory approvals, Summit Utilities will then become the natural gas service provider to those customers currently served by CenterPoint in those areas.Once the transaction is completed, CenterPoint customers in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texarkana Area will begin to notice Summit Utilities' name and logo on company assets such as buildings, trucks, and employee uniforms. The transaction is anticipated to close by the end of 2021, so customers may continue to see and interact with CenterPoint for a period of time.Completion of the transition is planned for late 2022, with the final application of Summit Utilities name and logo on all customer-facing assets such as website, payment portal, and automated phone system.We are excited to be able to expand our service in the Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texarkana areas, and will be welcoming more than 600 CenterPoint team members and over 500,000 new customers into the Summit family!
