Farming - Hartville, Missouri, United States
SUNDOG FARMS was founded in 1997 by KJ Burk and established as a premier sport horse training and breeding facility featuring Pureblood German Hanoverian horses. Sundog Farms expanded to include performance farrier services as well as a retail tack & feed shop. In addition to providing equestrian training and horseback riding lessons, the farm also held hunterpace events, endurance races and handicap hippotherapy services at the facility. By 2005 goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens and homing pigeons were added to the farm. In 2010 KJ Burk became proactive by making the difficult, yet financially sound decision to sell most of the performance horses just prior to the failing economic market of the US began to hit the equine industry. The equine sales enabled the farm to re-invest into organic gardening and later relocate to the heartland of the Ozarks in Missouri which provides a much longer growing season. Today, Sundog Farms is also the home of KJ's Art Studio. COMING SOON TO SUNDOG FARMS... Artist Retreat Cabins with Art Classes at the Ozarks Art Center & Gallery!
