Reliable and sustainable Street Lighting for everyone Founded in 2011, our company designs and manufactures innovative Solar Street Lights in Blanquefort, near Bordeaux. Sunna Design’s mission is to provide a reliable and sustainable off-grid public lighting solution, yet affordable for all, even in rural areas in emerging countries. Today, more than 12000 of our products are installed around the world. Since the beginning, we have continuously innovated in the development and manufacture of autonomous solar lighting, allowing our company - To have built a strong team of passionate individuals who are commited to always make the best. - To receive 10 international awards (ZAYED FUTURE ENERGY PRIZE, MIT, Ernst & Young, La Tribune …), - To team up with prestigious partners such as Schneider Electric, Thorn and JCD Decaux - To file 14 disruptive innovation patents and take a reference position in solar streetlight industry. We have successfully developed the only solar street light that does not require any technical maintenance for over 10 years, even under extreme climate conditions and conducted three fundraisings from renowned investors for a total amount of 15 million Dollars. Our last developments able our products to be connected and to be integrated in Smart City solutions: remote monitoring, data creation and management, etc. We are also working on promoting additional services with partners to allow our clients to generate new revenues: advertisement, WiFi access, security cameras, etc. We constantly keep on reinventing ourselves to hope to make a difference and the task is gigantic: electrifying people without access to energy, imagining the future of smart cities, finding business models as innovative as our technology, transferring expertise to create jobs here and there.
