According to 2017's data, the population of people with disabilities in Indonesia are reaching 22 millions soul. Meanwhile, the number of the legal age of workforce reach almost 51% of its total population. This number leads to a higher needs for a workplace that can accommodate those under-privileged group. As time goes by, opportunity continuously rise to give better chance for people. Yet, the epiphany starts to struck the reality; in a world solely designed for those who able, what would be left for those who are considered as unable?This fact encouraged the founding of "Sunyi – House of Coffee and Hope", F&B business that is dedicated for people with disability.Sunyi, is not just a regular coffee shop. It bears a sincere mission to be the bridge towards inclusivity for all people. The purpose is to give the disability communities a platform to showcase their ability through coffee and art. Building mutual understanding among people without disability, which eventually encourage the under-previleged group to be more accepted and active in society.All of the concept will be integrated inside an artful disability-friendly building, which brings escapist feeling in the heart of south Jakarta. The place will also serve as small art gallery where it will give opportunity to uprising disability artist around Indonesia to promote their works, which eventually will help them to be a more active citizen. Sunyi eagers to help manifesting more similar movement which initiate fairness for those with disabilities. We are keen to collaborate and support uprising talents especially for this particular matter.
