The future of our planet depends on our healthy children. Super Sprowtz inspires and teaches kids to live healthy, active lives. We are a children's nutrition education program that harnesses the power of storytelling, music and the arts to educate and inspire children to be more active and choose healthier foods to fuel their bodies. Through interactive web content, school performances, educational kits, curriculum and more, veggie superheroes Colby Carrot, Brian Broccoli, and the rest of the Super Sprowtz heroes are teaching kids to develop a positive relationship with healthy food and the importance of leading an active lifestyle. Super Sprowtz reaches over one million families and counting, and has gained the support of First Lady Michelle Obama, former White House chef Sam Kass, NBA stars Shaquille O'Neal, Amar'e Stoudemire and many more. In 2013, we partnered with Cornell University's Food & Brand Lab to conduct a double-blind study to see how an engaging, colorful, interactive and visually appealing salad bar would affect the number of children taking salad from them. Cornell researchers ran a study across a 7,500-student sample in elementary schools spanning all five New York City boroughs. The results were telling: there was a whopping 250% increase in students taking vegetables from our interactive, story driven, colorful additions. This study has gone through peer review journals and we are gearing up for the release of this study in the coming months. Modeling this success, we are now rolling out our salad bar program in school cafeterias across America including New York, Colorado, California, Louisiana, Washington, DC and San Juan, Puerto Rico in Spanish. Our goal is for every single salad bar in America to engage children in ways they understand and inspire them to take vegetables every day from their school cafeteria.Visit supersprowtz.com to learn more.
