In 1990, Superior Shot Peening, Inc. was founded on the basis of a "Better Idea". The founders, Albert Johnson and Jack Blasingame, were working in the surface preparation industry seeing a need for a better approach and an opportunity for a company that could better serve the surface preparation requirements of Houston industries by providing superior quality as well as rapid turnaround of shot peened parts as the "One-stop shop with 24 hour turnaround".Superior continues to add new processes and technologies as required and requested by the customer base. Superior's new facility on 30 acres in Cleveland, Texas includes new robotic facilities for thermal spray, a state of the art grinding facility, and new automated shot peening equipment. All of these increase the ability for Superior to meet their customers' ever increasing requirements for more precision work to meet the challenges of extended component life. At Superior Shot Peening, our customers always receive personalized service and never get a telephone recording; real people answer the telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are proud of the ability to provide thermal spray coatings (HVOF, HVAF, Plasma, Spray& Fuse, Twin-wire arc), grinding, non-destructive testing, metallurgical laboratory, shot peening, phosphate coatings, fluoropolymer coatings, high bake phenolics, PVC coatings, and urethane coatings. Our devotion to quick and quality turn times is what gives us the competitive edge as well as the consolidate technical knowledge held by our staff.
