LACAP is a Toronto-based, not-for-profit arts organization dedicated to the implementation of art projects, which promote Latin American art in Canada with an emphasis on artistic excellence, critically engaged artistic practices, and hemispheric networks of exchange.We acknowledge the ancestral and traditional unceded territory on which we stand: of the Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat and Petun First Nations, the Seneca and most recently Mississaugas of the Credit River. The territory was subject of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Iroquois Confederacy of the Ojibwe and Allied Nations to Peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.
