Surgical Aid Foundation (SAF) is a non-governmental and not-for-profit charity Organization established in 2011 under Nigerian laws to promote good health through subsidizing and sourcing for quality health services to the less privileged in the society and working to reduce medical tourism. SAF activities revolve around the following programmes:Surgical Assistance: Surgical Aid Foundation offers financial assistance to deter costs of surgeries by indigent patients. We adhere to internally controlled guidelines to determine eligibility for the provision of assistance. Medical outreach: Surgical Aid Foundation organizes medical outreach programmes to remote areas that lack adequate health care infrastructures. These outreach programmes help to bring medical services to people at a subsidized or low cost.Promoting good health: Surgical Aid Foundation promotes healthy living by producing and disseminating health improvement information to the general public through various means such as articles, videos, radio jingles amongst others. This helps to educate the general public about lifestyle habits that put them at risk for conditions that may require surgery, and how to best change their lifestyle.Linking Patients with appropriate health institutions: Surgical Aid Foundation helps people by referring them to strictly vetted hospitals for their surgical needs. Through our vetting system, we have identified and created partnerships with hospitals specialized in Minimal Access Surgeries. Our referral process helps people secure top-notch quality surgical care without having to leave the country.
