Publisher-centric business (formerly known as Sphere) that offered intelligent content recommendation tools and services that were widely adopted by media companies around the world. Sphere was acquired by Aol in April of 2008 and later rebranded Surphace in late 2009. We operated as an autonomous business within Aol, strategic to key operating goals of the broader programming organization. In January 2011, Surphace was divested from Aol and sold to Outbrain.
