Survivor Strong provides educational and healing opportunities for survivors of gender-based violence, their allies and the surrounding community. We work with law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, and other community members that receive disclosures or respond to gender-based violence on supporting someone through the aftermath of their abuse with a trauma-informed, victim-centered approach. It is our firm belief that support and community can be a catalyst for healing. In addition to facilitating trainings, we educate students, parents and community members on body safety, healthy relationships, options for survivors and ally-ship. Survivor Strong also provides resources and services for survivors of gender-based violence, because we know the importance of community and support in the healing journey.Our organization centers the needs of Ingham/Eaton Counties specifically, and with the growth of our virtual community, we are able to help survivors all across Michigan. We are currently serving folks in Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Howell, Lansing, Okemos, Oak Park, St. Clair Shores, and Traverse City, MI, as well as across the country. This includes providing virtual support to survivors in California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas.
