Surwahi Social Ecoestate Kanha (SSEK) is a Madhya Pradesh government Tourism Board approved Bed and Breakfast situated in 10 acre privately conserved forest at the periphery of India's finest managed national park - Kanha Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh, Central India. Surwahi Social is sustainable tourism concept based homestay combining elements of community tourism, conservation, ecological construction and conscious luxury. Place is live accepting bookings with a uniquely designed 8 bed family room called as "Maikal Express" and a central leisure cum dining area called "Satkone". The purpose of its establishment is to challenge existing practices in tourism adhering around environment, sustainability, skilling and local participation at the same time experiment with alternate setting an example for others hospitality projects to replicate. SSEK has been envisioned, built and promoted with a deeper bias to preserver India's deep rural heritage, improvising ancestral practices with scientific temperament, boosting local economy, touching native hearts and above all creating patrons who understand, voluntarily contribute and further nurture Responsible Tourism.
