Sustainable Design and Product Management (SDPM) is a mechanical engineering design and consulting firm that was founded in 2003 by William Shady, P. E. a professional mechanical engineer and inventor. SDPM offers consulting and mechanical engineering designs developed for the sustainable building construction industry and focuses primarily on products that integrate renewable solar power and heat and highly energy efficient forms of heating, cooling and ventilation for good indoor air quality and water conservation. SDPM's main product offering is the Climate Right System. It was developed as a completely engineered, assembled and functional tested equipment package for hydronic heating and cooling, which simply defined, uses water as a means to heat and cool. It is an appliance that was developed to eliminate the traditional custom design and field fabricated systems that are expensive and require experimentation in the field at the homeowner's expense. It offers an alternative to the traditional standardized forced air furnace. Where a furnace can only heat air, the CRS heats domestic hot water, heats and cools the building, and can use waste heat for swimming pool and spa heating.
