The Sustainable Urban Delta Foundation will inform, orchestrate and stimulate the best efforts and ideas to build a sustainable future. We will partner with all cities who share our ambition on urban food production.Over the next 30 years, a city with more than 9 million inhabitants will arise in a lower delta, every 3 months. Inhabitants of these cities will often live in poor circumstances, facing problems related to water, living, mobility, energy, water and food. On a global level, we see malnutrition, obesity, nitrogen emission, climate change, suffocating concrete jungles…How to make sure these challenges won't fundamentally deteriorate our quality of life?If we want to counter the great issues of our time and make mega cities livable, we need to fundamentally change our food and land use system. The good news is, we can. How? By creating Sustainable Urban Deltas; mega cities that embrace food production in metropolitan areas to create new connections on a social, ecological, and economic level, providing space for energy, social cohesion, property development and climate.Do you want to join forces with us today? Great! Check out how you can help.
