Svadhi is a Philadelphia-based startup with the mission to increase enrollment opportunities for non-traditional applicants, by removing resource-intensive barriers from the admissions process. Our assessments measure a candidate's non-cognitive behaviors.The traditional admissions process includes a review of several factors, including the candidate's extracurricular activities, personal essays, and recommendation letters. This process favors candidates with the resources to be coached; not necessarily the best fit.We believe that all candidates should be able to showcase their personal qualities without spending an exorbitant amount of time or money. Thus, by focusing on the applicant's behaviors, our assessments tell what candidates do instead of who they are. Ultimately, moving towards a more unbiased non-cognitive assessment and student fit will allow universities to attract candidates with a wider array of students resulting in higher rates of enrollment.
