Svenheim Møbelindustri AS was foundedat Osterøy in 1946 as a subcontractorfor other manufacturers. As the years went by,we expanded our customer base for subcontracting, and so did oursproduct range. In 1992 we moved into larger onespremises in Lunde, Telemark. In 2002 became oursgrowth crowned with the acquisition of a 50,000 m2big factory in Alytus, Lithuania - and gradually it is now UAB Svenheim,a fully operational office furniture manufacturer.As a furniture manufacturer we are fully aware of our impact on bothenvironment and other businesses. All our products are now certified "Nordic Swan" . It istherefore we use environmentally friendly raw materials,has environmentally friendly production processesand reduced emissions and waste. These are theproduction standards we also expectfrom our subcontractors.Our slogan is FLEXIBLE WORKPLACESand this principle of flexibility isthe very core of Svenheim's identity. Thisis reflected in both our product range andour working methods. No matter whichis our customer's needs we can offer them onesolution. And we continue to push the boundariesfor what is possible by constantly evolvingnew production techniques to fulfillthe demands of tomorrow's functionalityand design.
