swing ~ the concept storeopened in 2014, swing is your mini department store catered to women, girls, boys & babies. you'll find everything you need to build a your & your kids wardrobe. when our founder, stephanie doucette, isn't hunting for vintage clothes & fabrics, finding the next socially conscious brand, buying for the next season, or spending time with her hubby & kids ~ she is designing our house line...house line ~ doucette* & petite doucette*designed in cold spring, ny & made with love in nyc's historic garment districtdebuting her first collection in nyc's chelsea hotel in 2004, doucette* has always remained committed to rescuing vintage goods and/or repurposing fabrics, buttons & trimmings that have been tossed aside by others. stephanie was inspired by her glamorous working mother, aunties, and grandmothers at an early age. they all seemed to have a perfect life/work balance while looking so effortlessly put-together everyday. unsurprisingly, her debut line, doucette duvall, was a fast hit with today's working girls as well as the it-girls of the moment. today the line is more underground than ever, quietly shaping wardrobes of the savvy clients who find her. new styles are always trickling in from her studio in cold spring, specifically based on her own closet needs and those of her clients. quite naturally, after her three sweet babes were born, so was petite doucette*. grown-up fabrications add a certain nod to the past that is enmeshed with modern flavor. of course petite doucette* remains devoted to sourcing & producing in nyc.both lines are produced in very limited quantities & are numbered like artwork, so that one knows just how many pieces were made. you can count on hidden little luxuries & details for days in each silhouette.currently sold exclusively at swing in cold spring, ny.
