Swiss Blue Energy is developing power generation systems that use low temperature heat streams between 20 to 80°C (68 to 176°F) as energy source. Waste heat is one of the world's largest energy sources with heat losses of over 50% in industrial processes. Other potential areas of consideration include thermal power plants, as well as geothermal and solar thermal energy. Based on Thomas Alpha Edison's Pyromagnetic Motor (first patented in 1888, former US Patent no. 380 100) and Nikola Tesla's Thermo-Magnetic Motor (first patented in 1889, former US Patent no. 396 121) Swiss Blue Energy has developed a system which is able to generate non-fluctuating electricity out of low temperature waste heat streams below 80°C (176°F) in an emission-free, reliable, and affordable way. With the unique technology, the - so far untapped - energy source of low temperature heat can now be converted directly into useable zero-emission electricity. The market for our technology is limitless – if the planned scale-up and industrialization of our technology is achieved. We currently collaborate with national and international research institutions and industry partners for waste heat recovery pilot installations. Additionally, we are looking for other interested partners to develop the technology to maturity. We are offering the unique opportunity to participate in the establishment of a step-change technology in low temperature waste heat recovery. With the modular system for de-centralized and zero-emission electricity production, we will substantially contribute to a more sustainable energy supply. Swiss Blue Energy – the ingenious way to energy transformation!
