Libraries - Blue Ash, Ohio, United States
SWON Libraries formed in 1973 as the "Greater Cincinnati Library Consortium" (GCLC) when a group of library directors in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky wanted a vehicle for pooling resources, sharing knowledge and collaborating to better serve their patrons. We continue that mission today as one of the State Library of Ohio's Regional Library Systems by providing continuing education to our Supporting Members, members in our Ohio geographic service area and to library staff in Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and beyond. SWON also helps librarians and library staff learn from each other through Special Interest Groups, SWON webinars, PCI Webinars, Level-Up Labs, and through community resources shared on this site.SWON provides other great benefits to Supporting Members, including consulting work and customized CE classes. Supporting Members can attend free webinars, and receive reduced rates on SWON benefits like our special events or Tech-to-Lend. SWON staff are always up to travel to Supporting Member libraries to teach classes and learn how we can help.As an Ohio Regional Library System, we also provide services to any library of any type in our 17-county service area. These "Geographic Members" receive reduced rates on all our webinars, events and lending programs.Want to learn more?
