Sydney Cooper Senior Smiles™ is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that trains, recruits, and educates volunteers of all ages on the needs of the elderly, and then pairs the volunteer with a senior who would benefit from companionship. Seniors are located in communities throughout Southern California. All volunteers are trained to recognize and understand age-associated disabilities such as dementia, Alzheimer's, and stroke, as well as hearing, visual, and mobility impairments. We strive to enrich and enhance the lives of residents at senior communities. Through regular volunteering, we aim to bridge the gap between generations by facilitating and nurturing friendships among people of all ages.
