Beginning with the cultivation and harvesting of wild and domesticated truffles, the long-term goal of Symbios LLC is to profitably exploit existing and potential products resulting from the symbiotic relationship between three species of trees and their truffle/mycorrhizal symbiots in orchard and forest environments. Symbios LLC has six target markets; the existing food markets for truffles, mushrooms and hazelnuts; the pharmacological raw materials market and the potential "green economy" markets for carbon sequestration and bio-fuels. These markets and products are complementary as in combination, they: • generate multiple revenue streams from the same initial investment, • diversify risk – multiple markets and products spread risk, • provide shorter term revenue sources as longer term initiatives mature, • generate expense and revenue during different times of the year, thereby smoothing expense and revenue spikes associated with seasonal agricultural products, • improve the health of the environment by providing an annual income from standing forests, thereby increasing their retention value – special attention will be given to lands containing riparian and animal corridors and watersheds Contact information: Jean Buckner, EdD President, Symbios LLC 15723 SE 58th Pl Bellevue, WA 98006 Phone: 425-747-9187
