CHAFA (Chinese - American Friendship Association) is an organization, registered under NY State in 2015, aims at helping Chinese student, scholars and visitors better adapt to and know more of the American Culture by holding various outdoor and indoor activities like Hiking, Dinner Club, English Club and so on. Members can choose activities to attend according to their personal interest. CHAFA is established and founded by Jim Pitcher. With his christian belief, CHAFA also offers bible study group for members who have interest. American Volunteer is the core part of CHAFA. They would be involved in each of the activities to make friend with members and help members to have better understanding of American Culture. CHAFA will keep developing to help Chinese in America in the future years. We hope that CHAFA would be a warm home for all of Chinese students, scholars and visitors, although we are thousands of miles apart from China.
