Refugee children from Syria often suffer war trauma.Syrian Refugee Crisis is collecting donations for a trauma therapy centre in Jordan. We need your support. Background:Since the outbreak of the war in Syria in 2011, more than five million refugees have left the country, around half of them are children and young people under the age of 18. Many refugee children suffer from traumatic war experiences with psychological and physical long-term consequences, which can have an effect into adulthood. Without psychological support, it is often difficult for the children affected to cope with their everyday life or to successfully pursue school education. The support of Syrian refugees by the international community has been massively underfunded for years. For the psychological care of traumatized refugee children, resources must therefore be mobilized in a focused manner. What we do:We collect donations for the psychological treatment of children at the Happiness Again in Amman, Jordan. With your support, we secure the financing of around 160 therapy places per year. In addition, together with the Happiness Again, we are building up a network of international experts to promote the quality of trauma therapy for refugee children.
