The version of the Systems Approach that we refer to here is based on engineering essence, embodied in standards and "body of knowledge" documents of engineering and enterprise architecture. Their core is Systems Engineering - it is a transdisciplinary and integrative approach to enable the successful realization, use, and retirement of engineered systems, using systems principles and concepts, and scientific, technological, and management methods (INCOSE).However, unlike most standards and general theories (e.g., GTS and ISO 42010), we always strive to keep on the edge of SoTA ("state of the art") in our discipline. For example, a core foundational course of Systems Approach is the 7th generation since 2017.The course aims to explain and assist in the adoption of systems-oriented thought-accelerating patterns and techniques. Those can be advanced additions to intuitive thought-accelerating practices we learned from culture (e.g., general logical reasoning) and academic studies (e.g., computational thinking).And fluency has to be achieved in all of them. All of these types of thinking can be trained. In addition to the fact that these thinking patterns give an advantage in speed compared to usual brainwork, it also protects against gross errors of thought.We see many successful applications of the Systems Approach in engineering, management, entrepreneurial, educational, cultural, artificial intelligence, etc.
