'T Kwassie is the artist's shop in the Zaan region with a wool department and a master frame maker."T Kwassie is a family business like so many in the Zaanbocht. Freek Peters is the master frame maker and member of the English guild Fine Art Trade Guild. Mariëtte Peters has earned her spurs in the retail trade, received training as a stylist at the fashion academy in Amsterdam and is an avid painter herself.'t Kwassie has certainly been around in the Zaan region for around 50 years. It has always been a special place for creative people. With a the wide range of products, there is always something for everyone. You can say that we are a candy store for every artists and hobbyist.Various courses and workshops are regularly held in 't Kwassie. One of the meetings that has now earned a permanent place is "knitting and the Zaan". This takes place here every month.
