Making Public Spaces Accessible For People with Cognitive DisabilitiesPublic space is not accessible for people with cognitive disabilities, even though it is required by law. 4% of the population have challenges in information processing, memory, sequencing, and communications – and for these millions of people, there is no real accessibility solution. Many of you have travelled to places where the environment makes no sense and it's hard to figure out how to navigate the public space, transportation, shopping and so on. You can't communicate with people around us, they can't help you. This is the everyday reality for the cognitive disabled in places they frequent every day. Their whole lives. So TA'AL addresses this need. TA'AL is a digital platform where information is broken down to specific stages and tasks that the users wish to perform. The app is personalized to the users' unique challenges. Geared to language, memory, and other personal obstacles. The objective is to achieve maximum independence, dignity, inclusion.
