The company started out as Ottawa speciality paving company offering tar and chip paving services for country homes with big driveways. Even then we offered alternatives to asphalt, which don't crack (as they are flexible). Those were the surfaces which never need to be ripped up because they are built in layers of liquid asphalt and stone. A few years later our company developed a proprietary coating that would be applied to the top of tar and chip pavement to lock down the stones and provide a smoother, even stronger surface. We called the product TAC Black and it became a direct competitor with Asphalt. TAC Black is essentially a flexible city driveway that doesn't crack, never needs to be replaced and comes with a very long warranty. Just recently we developed RockLock - a proprietary sprayable polyurethane compound that could be applied to the top of our tar and chip pavements to create our own porous permeable pavings designed specifically to withstand the Canadian climate. This material requires very little equipment to install.To expand our business outside of Ottawa we created PurePave brand which is now promoted mostly in Toronto and GTA.
