TAC Technical Instrument Corp. (TacTic™) has been a pioneer in the design and manufacturing of ultrasonic testing (UT) equipment for metal tube, pipe and bar stock since 1962. We specialize in automated immersion UT systems that can detect surface and subsurface defects such as cracks, voids, seams, inclusions, and inconsistencies in diameter and wall thickness. We also manufacture a line of semi-automated, flow-coupled tankless testers for ultrasonic inspection of welded pipe and tubing and linearly translated, flat-sided or round material. As of February 28, 2022, TACTIC™ is a part of Magnetic Analysis Corporation, a manufacturer of nondestructive testing systems supplied throughout the world, and headquartered in Elmsford, New York.
