Our mission is to present extraordinary theatre in an intimate space, emphasizing the use of classical technique, in rotating repertory with a resident company of artists.TART will does this by producing works of artistic and social significance with professional expertise and creative passion so as to develop an audience to support such work, to discover and develop local talent, and to establish professional theatre in Tacoma, WA. The implications of the company name's acronym, "TART," is intentional. Tacoma Actors Repertory Theatre (TART) not only brings a challenging new voice to Tacoma Theatre, it also expands what "Theatre" means in the community. It embraces music and dance and a wide variety of live performance. It seeks to draw audience members into their own experience of theatre, one that is entertaining and rewarding.
