The flavor is the name of the game, and we don't hold back. Our products are meant to be perfectly balanced, incorporating bold flavors, salt, sweetness, a bit of acid, and a punch of heat. Our Co-Founder, Tushar Tondvalkar, collected these recipes from his childhood in India and his R&D trips throughout the sub-continent. With Adwahi Classics like Chicken Musallam and our take on Canadian favorites such as Butter Chicken, we make sure that our line of curries stands out as the highest quality available.The difference in our curries is the spices. Our spices are fair-trade grown in India and then imported to Canada whole where they are toasted and ground fresh. "Tadka is a heat-based, flavor infusion technique that relies on fat as a flavor-delivery vehicle. Depending on the types of spices, herbs, and aromatic ingredients used, the fat extracts, sometimes alter and subsequently delivers a combination of aromas, tastes, textures, color, and even sound to the dish. Some fats also carry their flavor, which adds to the Tadka experience." Our curries are produced in the heart of Vancouver, hence, Urban Tadka.
