Founded in 1938, and still located in Japan's mystical lens making capital of Tajima prefecture, we're proudly owned and operated by the second and third generation of the founding Tamura family. Today, all of our polarized lenses are made – from start to finish – in our lens making facility in Tajima where skilled Japanese craftsmen have been producing the world's best lenses for 80 years. Over the past five decades we've been the only lens maker to focus exclusively on the specialized craft of hi-quality, superior polarized lens making in a variety of valuable, purpose-built, and patented lens materials paired with industry-leading technologies.
