Architecture & Planning - , , United States
Tak Tak Tak was established by Peter Dew and Richard O'Hanlon during their professional diploma at the Sir John CASS School of Architecture after volunteering in the Calais ‘Jungle' building refugee shelters. Whilst the shelters were much needed, they recognised the community buildings were intrinsic to any semblance of hope in a place like ‘The Jungle', acting as safe places for children and as hubs for the improvement of daily life for all. They decided to make an organisation which could design and build quickly and appropriately whilst challenging the typical typology of transient architecture.
