"Take My Word For It!" Details
"Take My Word For It!" is a word incubator—a place where kids can have a grand old time and feel safe and supported while they grow as writers. Kids have been putting pencil to paper with us in our creative writing programs since 1995. We work with young authors in after-school and community-based settings, as well as in summer writing camps in the East Bay, and San Francisco. In 2010 we also began teaching women seeking refuge from homelessness and domestic violence at Mary Elizabeth Inn, in San Francisco.Our young writers have the thrill of sharing their work out loud at our special bookstore readings for parents and friends They also love to crow about their work when we feature it on our blog at takemywordforit.net
