Takshila Educational Society is devoted to India's knowledge revolution. We are invested in creating access to knowledge through transformative spaces with a human-centric approach. We have been on a journey to deliver meaningful impact across varied communities. We currently have active presence and practice in 4 different sectors, mainly - Education, Social Development, Art&Culture and Literature/Publishing.We create active dialogue spaces for India's heritage to have a voice with the many generations that are shaping and will shape the legacy of our culture. What are the many forms of expression that have built India's experience of the self? How do we curate it in the 21st century for an evolving audience?We believe education should be learner-centric and input driven, vs. the output expectancy on a child today. What can we infuse their learning with as an input into their young minds to foster future leaders? We believe strategies for development need to be born from the very citizens whom we wish to impact. Moving beyond data, how can we make our communities our partners, and not just beneficiaries, in building stronger programs?A publishing house that caters uniquely to India's reading audience. Children's literature as a segment that builds and nurtures a bi-lingual realm of imagination. Illustrators and artists who can build their own body of work, a sub-text completely belonging to them. How do we unlock this potential of writers, artists and readers alike? These are but some of the questions we ask ourselves at Takshila & its subsidiaries as we foray into various initiatives.
