Living the comfortable urban life of metro cities, do you ever realize that there is a parallel India that exists, one that is starkly opposite of our own idea of the country? This parallel world isn't very far from you, too.This is the heart of India - our villages and our native communities, the remotest of the tribes and lands. The stories from rural India are often widely overlooked in this buzz of the modern age and consumerism. However, this is the part of India that defines our roots, every individual exemplifying a living book, as experienced in real life by the three co-founders of Tales & Treasures, an enterprise established by amalgamating multiple projects from different states. Tales & Treasures is an attempt to let into the spotlight the uncovered stories of the people unheard. We share stories through tete-a-tete's and talks, organize platforms to share interesting and awareness raising topics, lead travelers and wanderers to places rich with experiences.Tales & Treasures is also a marketplace for products made with absolute care by our own rural communities, in an endeavor to empower through sustainable livelihoods. Each and every product under the venture is curated by the different groups across the country, some by using the traditional knowledge passed on through generations and others using innovative production techniques to promote sustainable consumption. As a team, we believe in the raw power of intimate experiences, having spent multiple years in various parts of the country individually. We have seen the transformation happening real-time, and now, we want to share the sheer contentment of being connected with our roots with all of you!
