Communication within interdisciplinary research teams, to non-experts or the media can present a challenge for scientists. Misunderstandings on scientific topics are ubiquitous and can have serious consequences. The key is to be able to speak each other's language and view the topic from an outsider's perspective. Scientists should be aware of misleading simplifications and other typical pitfalls. Unfortunately, science communication is usually not part of the curriculum. Our mission is to fill this gap. We offer workshops that introduce in hands-on exercises a set of tools and techniques that empower scientists to convey their message clearly and effectively. As each of our coaches has a scientific background, we have a deep understanding of our audiences' challenges and tailor our workshops to address their needs. We were excited to have organized over 25 events for education and entrepreneurship organizations, such as GRACE (Graduate Center of the University of Basel), Innosuisse, BaselArea.Swiss, NCCR Molecular Systems Engineering, EPFL, Life Science Zurich Graduate School, and others -- and are looking for new opportunities to share our passion. Our current offer contains science communication workshops focused on oral communication for researchers and pitching workshops for entrepreneurs on various stages of business development.
