These budding friendships offer a strong incentive to build their language skills and an outlet to practice what they learn. \\In other words, Talkmates are digital "pen pals." \\Language skills are essential in this increasingly globalized world. With 36 languages available and 164 on the way, Talkmate provides learners with dozens of options so they can choose what they love rather than limiting their choice to what is conventionally available.
