Tall Firs Cinema is a film production company based in Seattle, WA. Vasant and Sarah Samudre are the two filmmakers who comprise it and together they are the film's directors, writers, cinematographers, editor, animator, and producer. Their current film is PROMISED LAND, a social justice documentary that follows two tribes in the Pacific Northwest: the Duwamish and the Chinook, as they fight for the restoration of treaty rights they've long been denied. In following their story, we look at a larger problem of how the government and society still looks at treaty rights and tribal sovereignty.
