Going Green doesn't mean hugging a tree but encompasses a much bigger thought process WHAT CAN BE REUSED, REDUCED or RECYCLED instead of just thrown away.When the Army decided to change their uniform from the Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) to the Army Combat Uniform (ACU), there would be a surplus of the old BDUs that could either be just discarded or they could be reused in another capacity. My process reuses old uniforms – both BDUs and ACUs as well as the uniforms of other services and organizations – to create everything from bags to aprons to Christmas stockings and more. This process is environmentally friendly. Everyone wins when an item is reused instead of discarded – so GO GREEN WITH TAMASINE!!
