I use a strengths based approach when working with children, families and schools and respect the individuality of each child, family and team. I use family-centered practice framework and encourage open and transparent communication with all members of the child's team to support the child and their team in all environments. I believe that using a train-the-trainer approach provides the most effective therapy, so that not only do the children develop their understanding and skills, but also the parents, carers and teachers involved with the child develop their knowledge and strategies to support the child in their settings.
