The Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA) is a nonprofit organization whose members are businesses and individuals involved in the nursery and landscaping industry. Established in 1910, MNLA is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting the success of its members, environmental awareness and the highest standards of the Massachusetts nursery and landscape industry. Massachusetts environmental horticulture industry contributes an estimated $2.6 billion to the Massachusetts economy. MNLA members grow, sell, install, maintain and preserve the living landscape. $4.7 Billion & Growing Economic Impact Study. According to the recent economic impact study supported by the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association, Inc., Massachusetts green industry employed at least 68,000 people at nurseries, greenhouses, florist shops, garden centers and landscape-related businesses. Almost two-thirds (43,000) of these are full-time positions. An additional 7,500 jobs remain available in the industry.
