Tau Beta Pi (TBP) is the nation's second oldest honor society and was founded at Lehigh University in 1885 to mark in a fitting manner those with distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as students in engineering. The association has grown to include 248 collegiate chapters and 40 active alumni chapters across the country totaling over 602,000 initiated members! The Drexel University Chapter (PA-Zeta) was founded on November 24, 1930 and has initiated more than 3,500 members. Tau Beta Pi not only recognizes men and women of high scholastic achievement, but also the work of its members within the greater community.
