Tauranga Riding for the Disabled provides equestrian therapy programmes and equine interaction programmes for people from the Tauranga and Western Bay of Plenty regions who are challenged by disability or who are at-risk. The programmes are designed to develop and nurture confidence, independence, and well-being and provide life skills.We currently run seven programmes at our Welcome Bay Equestrian Centre including:- Therapy Riding- Life Skills - Sports and Recreation- Holiday Programme- Community Outreach- EAGALA - Special Olympics We rely on grants from grant-making organizations, philanthropic gifts from benefactors, sponsorships, bequests and memorial gifts as we do not receive financial support from Government.For ways to get involved with Tauranga Riding for the Disabled or how to support us, please visit our website http://www.taurangarda.co.nz/ways-to-support-us
