****** LANDSCAPE DESIGN BASICS ****** * The First Visit One complementary consultation at your home where we will meet and discuss your ideas, likes and dislikes, and family needs. If you have any pictures of garden ideas at you've been collecting, we'd love to see them! During the initial consultation we will discuss your budget and how we can meet your needs with the many levels of services we have to offer. * The Second Visit We will present a preliminary scale drawing which will reflect the concepts that were previously discussed. Photographs of suggested plant material will be provided so the client is better able to visualize the final result. * The Third Visit You will be presented with three sets of your final landscape plans accompanied by a list of the plant materials using their common and botanical names. Each set will include a planting and hardscape sheet showing location of trees, shrubs, plants, patios, walkways, garden walls and water features. We will also recommend several reputable landscape contractors for you to choose from to install the design. * Design Fees These are dependent on the size and complexity of the property and the design. *** Your garden will be designed by an award winning Master Gardener. Maureen Taylor has a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design. She is a board member of the Landscape Design Associates (LDA) and an active member of Midwest Ecological Landscapers Association (MELA) and Illinois Landscape Contractors Association. (ILCA)*** Maureen won FIRST PLACE WINNER Mayor Daley's Landscape Awards for 2009. *** Maureen describes herself as "a happy community gardener" and has started and maintained two community gardens the Old Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago where she lives.
