Retail - Blair, Nebraska, United States
Taylor Quik Pik is a third generation family owned chain of convenience stores, headquartered in Blair, Nebraska. Founded in the 1950's, Taylor Quik Pik is home to the most genuine people in the convenience store and retail industry. The founder, Jim Taylor, was born and raised on his family's farm in Orum, Nebraska. In 1954, upon completing his Korean War Naval Tour aboard the USS Saint Paul, Jim Taylor started his own tank wagon service called Taylor Oil Company. From then on he began supplying farmers and service shops in Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa. Eventually, he took a chance on purchasing and operating a convenience store in Blair, Nebraska, formerly owned by Champlin Oil. Jim decided he had a knack for the business, in which he grew to 30-plus stores at one time. Today, Taylor Oil Company supplies fuel to its eight Taylor Quik Pik convenience stores and multiple dealer sites.
