Everyone has defining moments, those things that happen in your life that shape who you've become…or are becoming. For me, it started with an innocent doctor's appointment that ended with a life changing chronic medical diagnosis. I had a decision to make, kidney disease could have me or I could have it…I chose the latter. With faith, a positive attitude and a whole lot of gratitude, I've been able to navigate the highs and lows of being chronically "invisibly" ill. When I was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease, I had my life already planned out. I was going to be a Psychologist and take over the world with my husband, two and a half kids, a house with a white picket fence and of course a dog as the cherry on top. That idea was taken from me, and I was lost. God revealed himself in my life and began to lead me to my purpose and destiny. He'd given me everything I needed to be victorious and overcome the obstacles that would come. He also gifted me with the wisdom and knowledge to empower others with chronic "invisible" illnesses to do the same. I began doing patient advocacy and have accomplished many amazing things. For me, the most rewarding part of advocacy has been the opportunity to help others and help them find their voice. I want to help you find your voice and take you on a journey where you grow and learn that you have everything inside of you to overcome the obstacles in your life. It's not easy, but it's worth it.I'm offering the opportunity for us to work together so that I can help you go on a gratitude journey to find out what gratitude means to you and how you can implement it in your life to help you manage your chronic "invisible" illness. I'm offering 1:1 sessions and resources that I have created to allow you to write your narrative, not your diagnosis.When I say "I understand," I really do mean it. I'm living it.
