Our StoryTea Shop was born in 2016 Byron Bay, and remains a 100% family owned, and operated business created from a love of tea, the people who drink it and journeys throughout SE Asia, where tea is a part of life.Tea Shop is now based on the Sunshine Coast producing the same range of unique, organic and sustainably sourced blends that you'll find are different to any tea you've tried.With over 20 years of practice blending teas and experimenting with flavours, we love talking tea, helping friends and customers get the most from our products and brewing and sharing a cuppa in the traditional way (no tea bags here!)Our MissionTo help conserve our planet's resources, we sell our products in reusable, recyclable & compostable packaging, significantly reducing industrial waste. Our Philosophy is simple! We source ingredients from ethical, organic, sustainable and like-minded suppliers who truly care about how they treat people and the environment. Environmental FootprintWe purchase our tea from a tea plantation in Sri Lanka that utilises sustainable agricultural practices and returns part of its profit to the community for schools, clinics and other infrastructure projects. We consciously choose not to include tea bags in our product range for reasons of flavour, health and environmental integrity.Our packagingTea shop roasts and blends in small batches, nothing is mass produced. Our five blends are then packaged in recycled, reusable or compostable packaging that is air and lightproof to ensure absolute freshness and quality.
