Selena Woodward runs Teacher Technologies and writes the site's content. A Secondary English teacher, she has been researching and implementing the use of new technologies in the classroom for the last 6 years. Her main field of expertise is in the use of Interactive Whiteboards but she has also successfully used (and trained other teachers to use) podcasting and virtual learning environments. Originally from England, Selena has worked within the UKs National Curriculum for a number of years and has been a Local Authority advisor for the use of ICT in English teaching. Her classroom practice has been deemed as "Outstanding" in relation to OFSTED criteria. Selena spent some time in Adelaide Australia in 2007 where she worked closely with CEGSA and DECS to provide training opportunities for teachers to enhance their use of Interactive Whiteboards. Her training always focuses on pedagogy and, as such, is always useful and relevant. She has sat in enough "chalk and talk" presentations herself to know that energy and enthusiasm is the real key to inspiring all teachers to want to know more. In 2010, Selena is back in Adelaide on a more permanent basis and is delivering training to schools across Adelaide. She is a member of the CEGSA committee.
