FREE LIVE ARTS COMMUNITYTeatron is an independent online platform created for artists, audiences and professionals with an interest in transdisciplinary creation and an expanded version of the performing arts: action in art, video art, movement, text, spoken word, sound, image, transmedia...It is a tool, a software program, an administrator and a personal butler that has been up and running since 2007.Teatron gives a blog to all users who request one, orders their posts and the comments that users add to all of them, highlights selected posts in either the Featured (text, video, music) or the What's On sections, and displays them on a web portal.It also has it's own online TV channel (TV-TRON) and encourages users to start blogs that share their creative processes (Blogs in Progress). It runs a series of Openblogs (communal blogs based on a specific subject that all users and visitors can contribute to) and publishes material from the net by regularly inviting guests to put together a Videoplaylist selection.Teatron is free, multilingual, uncontrollable and horizontal. It receives over 14,000 visits each month from cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Girona, Bilbao, Seville, Berlin and Paris (in order of numbers of visits).Teatron is an independent project created for and by users. There are no editors or art directors, no curators or guest speakers, no journalists or programmers - only users with an urge to share.
