Tech Hui Details
Tech Hui started in 2006 to provide an enriching and informative meeting point for students from all around the Lower North Island to engage and share ideas in the realms of education and technology. The format of Tech Hui has been consistent since its inception – a one day conference with inspiring speakers, with the opportunity to be shown further pathways in IT at tertiary institutions in the afternoon. In 2010 Tech Hui was hosted by Samuel Marsden Collegiate in Wellington on June 15th 2010.Tech Hui was started as we often hear about the amazing and inspiring conferences that many in the education profession attend. Unfortunately these are almost always teacher only events which means that the people who will be impacted most by the ideas presented miss out. This is why Tech Hui is different. It empowers the students to investigate further and inspire their teachers to innovate in their education, and to show them where they can get in the amazing industry which is IT.
